BIOREACTORS

Two categories of bioreactors are offered to satisfy the requirements of recirculation aquaculture seed production system:

string bed bioreactor
In-Situ Stringed Bed Suspended Bioreactor (SBSBR)

This Bioreactor is used for removal of dissolved Ammonia and in situ Nitrification of water on the surface of the tanks.

nitrifying bioreactor
string bed bioreactor
Ex-Situ Packed Bed
Bioreactor (PBBR)
  • Establishment of Recirculating Aquaculture systems for maturation and brood stock maintenance
  • Establishment of Recirculating Aquaculture systems for larval production
  • Nitrification and ammonia removal from the incoming water from sea
  • Ammonia removal, Spent water treatment and reuse

Both are bio film reactors – with indigenously developed nitrifying consortia immobilized on cartridges

Nitrifying bioreactors can be used in any marine/brackish water seed production systems including those of Prawn, Shrimp, finfishes, Molluscs etc., and also in ornamental fish culture systems.
